Emission Nebula. The dark cone is clearly visible at the bottom of the picture. The bright emission nebula is also known as the Chrristmas Tree. This image captures the top half of the (upside down) Christmas Tree, with the cone at it's tip. The image has been displayed at half size (13.6 arcseconds per pixel)
