M109 is a barred spiral in Ursa Major (The Plough). Seven other galaxies are easy to make out, and there are several other smaller and fainter galaxies can just about be seen. Notice how blue the two edge on spiral galaxies are, and how red the small99 galaxy near the right hand edge is.
